After reading "of Mice and Men"

"Of Mice and Men" was written by John Steinbeck.
Today I read page from five to eighteen, as you knew already it was homework by teacher.
However I enjoyed the book because it contains many events between George and Lennie.
I belived that the writer would want to say friendship between them in terms of conflicts, solution and reconsiliation and so forth.
Meanwhile I like a descriptive background with time process too.
I wish to hope better understaning after reading the book.
See you soon.

I'm glad you're enjoying it, and I agree that a lot happens in the first chapter. One thing I like about Steinbeck, especially in this novel, is that he doesn't waste any time: it happens.
It all seems to flow easily and naturally, but as you read on, it is clear how carefully the writer is plotting everything.
